우선 구글 검색엔진을 돌려보며 다음과 같은 정보를 찾았습니다.

Users who want to rebuild the kernel are encourage to download the kernel-<version>.src.rpm source RPM, install it, and build kernel-source from it. However, if a user wants to build a module against the existing kernel, the entire kernel source tree is not required. Refer to the Release Notes for details on both these operations.
읽어보시면 아시겠지만 제가 말씀드린대로 kernel-source 형식의 패키지를 제공하지 않는다고 하는군요. 사용자가 원한다면 제가 찾아드린 kernel-<version>.src.rpm 소스RPM 파일을 리빌드하고 인스톨한다음 거기에서 kernel-source 파일을 빌드하라고 되어있습니다.

In the past, the process of updating the kernel did not change the default kernel in the system\'s boot loader configuration.
Fedora Core 3 changes this behavior to set newly-installed kernels as the default. This behavior applies to all installation methods (including rpm -i).
