시게이트 하드들을 사용하다가, 후지쯔 하드를 하나 구하게 되었습니다. 그런데, 하드점퍼 설정이 서로 다른 부분이 있어서 질문드려 봅니다. 터미네이터파워 설정에 관한 것입니다. 전자는 시게이트의 인스톨가이드에서 발췌한 것이고, 후자는 후지쯔의 하드 점퍼셋팅에 관한 글에서 발췌한 것입니다. 같은 내용인 것 같은데, 설정은 반대로 하게 되어있는 것 같습니다. 어느 것이 더 낫다고 보시는지요. 또, 터미네이터 파워라는 것이 어디에 필요한 것인지 궁금합니다.

3. Configure terminator power (LW model only)
Terminators have to get power from some source. The default configuration
results in the drive not supplying termination power to the bus. You should
normally leave this drive set at this default unless your host system requires
the drive to supply termination power to the bus. To configure this drive to
supply termination power to the bus, place a jumper on J2 (LW model only)
pins 1 and 2 as shown in Figure 2.

Refer to Table 2 for controlling the supply of power from the drive to SCSI terminal resistance power source (TERMPOW). However, this setting may not be used with NC model. For information on NP type model, refer to Figure 1 and Figure 2.
