어제 윈도우설치를 하면서 고생을 한시간이 너무 아까워서...
xp 설치 불가에 대한 원인을 찾지 못하면 성에 차지 않을 것 같아서
임시로 에러가 나지 않았던 윈도우2000을 설치하고 나서 다시 원인을 생각해 보았습니다.
저말고도 이런 에러를 많은 분들이 경험 하셨다고 하는걸 보니...
이미 잘 알려진 에러메시지 라는 생각이 들더군요.무언가 공통되는 원인이 있을텐데...
경험에 의한 추측을 제외하고는 그 원인을 제대로 알고 계신 분들은 별로 없었던 것으로 생각됩니다.
그렇지만 그 경험에서 우러나온 여러가지 추측들이 저에겐 정말로 많은 도움이 되었습니다.

그리고 오늘 제가 그 원인을 밝혀냈습니다. 사실은 밝혀낸것이 아니라 퍼왔죠~^^

1.Answer:
For the 64-bit Edition you must use MSDN build 1218 or later, or it will not work. When you are installing Windows XP Pro, you must have SP1 or greater integrated into the installation CD.

I have an X6DA8-G/G2 motherboard and I am trying to install Windows XP, but I get a stop error with the PCI.sys file. How do I install Windows XP?
2.Answer :
This is a known issue with Windows XP installation CD. You need to use Windows XP +SP1 or higher in order to install Windows XP on this machine.
3.Question :
I\'m trying to install Windows XP Pro on the X6DVA-EG board but I keep getting blue screen error about a problem with the \"PCI.sys.\" I have tried different memory and drive but the problem remains the same. Does this board support Windows XP at all?
3.Answer :
This problem only happens when you use a Windows XP CDROM without Service Pack 1 built-in. This version of the OS does not have the latest update to support this new chipset that\'s why it cannot recognize the PCI hub controller. Please use the version of Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 1 built-in to install.
읽어보시면 아시겠지만 XP를 설치하기 위해선 서비스팩1이나 그상위 버젼이 통합됀 CD를 사용해야
한다는 결론입니다. 제가 사용했던 xp는 서비스 팩이 없는 오리지널 버젼이었기 때문에 설치가 불가능
했던 것입니다. 서비스팩이 포함됀 씨디를 구할때 까지는 윈도우 2000으로 나가야 겠습니다.
답을 알고 나니, 속이 후련하네요...^^
