질문1: 궁금한 점은 레드햇리룩스 4.0에서는 이와 필적할만한 것이 아닌 것이 있는지요? 홈페이지에도 yum에 대한 설명은 없는 것 같구요. 업데이트는 up2date로 하면 되지만 다른 부분의 의존성을 부여하는데에는 제한이 있는 것 같습니다.
질문2: 제가 만약에 yum 2.6x를 탑제한다면 yum의 업데이트 저장소의 설정을 어디로 해야 할까요?
보통 레드햇은 up2date를 사용하는 것 같은데...
참고로 이 정도로 저장소를 설정하면 될련지 http://yum.hantip.net/. 제가 duke에서 공개한 yum을 쓴다면 다음과 같이 저장하고 있으면 되는지요?

제가 설치할 소프트웨어(프로그램)를 yum을 이용하며 의존성을 신경쓸 필요없이 잘 관리할 수 있는 것이 맞습니까? 사실 초보자라서 sbin과 bin를 마구 건드려서인지 시스템 에라가 생기는 것 같습니다.
질문3: 드라이브나 프로그램패키지(인텔포트란 컴파일러) 같은 것을 깔때 보통 yum을 설치가 가능하나요? 전 무난하게 원도우처럼 설치하고 싶은데 그림이 그려지지 않아서요. 보통 사용소프트 웨어는 어디에 설치를 하나요? 그리고 드라이브 작업을 할때는 root로 로그인해서 디렉토리 등을 바꿀 필요없이 거기서 그냥 작업하면 됩니까? 그러면 인스톨과정에서 자동적으로 내부적으로 커널컴파일을 실행하는 것 같은데 맞습니까
질문4: yum 설치하는 순서는 예를 들자면 대강 이렇나요?

이제 yum을 실행은 이렇게 하고

yum의 설정파일인 /etc/yum.conf파일을 편집기로 열어 어느부분을 수정해야 합니까?
