단순 온도만 보면... 큰일 날거 같은 분위기 인데... 다른 분들은 어떠 신지요 ?
원래 방열판만 장착되어 있는 모델인데, 이거 이대로 쓰라고 나온거 아닌가요 ?
저의 경우만 비정상적으로 발열이 나는 건지 궁금합니다. 사용을 중단해야 되는지도 궁금해서요

- Conclusion
We've been using LSI RAID cards at Puget Systems for a number of years now and have always been very happy with the quality of both the controllers and the MegaRAID software. The 9361-8i and 9341-8i are no exception and either they or their single port -4i equivalent are a great choice when you require a RAID controller in your system. The performance of the 9361-8i is excellent with the integrated 1GB of DDR3 memory and while the 9341-8i is slower it is still very good for it's price point. One thing both of these cards have in common is the excellent way they handle a degraded array in the event of a drive failure. They both give an immediate notice of the failure and offer a clear, easy to manage way to repair the degraded array.
The one thing we did not cover in this qualification that we have seen repeatedly reported in user reviews as a major negative is the fact that these cards run very hot. In fact, in a standard desktop chassis without airflow over the card we found that they would run at up to 105 ¡ÆC. This sounds like a terrible design flaw at first, but it is really par for the course for high quality RAID controllers. These types of cards are primarily designed for use in rackmounts where there is plenty of airflow so in a desktop environment they require a bit of planning to ensure they do not overheat. Luckily, you only need a very moderate amount of airflow (a low RPM side fan works great) to drop that temperature down to 45-50 ¡ÆC. And from our perspective, we would much rather have to provide moderate airflow over the card rather than having LSI integrate a tiny 40-50mm cooling fan directly onto the card. Those tiny fans are always one of the first components to fail in a computer and are notorious for making rattling and whining noises after any amount of dust gets into them.
Overall, both of these cards are very high quality and will be an excellent addition to our product line. Which card is right for you is going to depend on your specific application and budget, but whichever card you end up using you can rest assured that you will be using some of the highest quality RAID controllers currently on the market.
