글 내용을 읽어보니 SSD 펌웨어에 들어있는 OpROM의 UEFI 드라이버로 부팅되는 것으로 보입니다...

제가 보유하고 있는 인텔 P3520 2TB도 BIOS에 들어있는 NVMe 드라이버를 완전 제거 후 테스트했을때 BIOS UEFI 드라이버 항목에서 인텔 NVMe 드라이버가 로드되어있었습니다.
이전에 사용했던 마이크론 9200 MAX도 마찬가지였구요...

그럼 결국 예전과 같이 특정 ssd에서만 가능하다는 얘긴가요? 양키놈들 잘 알지도 못하면서 ㅠㅠ

그렇죠... 저 주장이 맞다면  NVMe 1.1을 사용한 모든 NVMe는 부팅을 지원해야되는데, 저기서는 계속 엔터프라이즈 NVMe만 지원된다고 강조했고, 중간에 부팅이 지원되는 SSD중 언급된게 킹스톤 KC1000인데 얘는 NVMe 1.2거든요...

참고로 일부 실리콘모션 NVMe 컨트롤러도 펌웨어에 따라 UEFI OpROM이 내장된 모델이 몇몇 있긴합니다...

z620 V1 사용해서 별짓 다 해봤습니다.
1. hp z turbo + 삼성 m.2 950pro
2. 일반 옥션 M.2 pcie + 950pro
 삼성 950pro 모델이 유일하게 oprom 지원한다는 이야기있어서..결과는 부팅은 됩니다. 간혹 하드인식 안됨, 매우 불안정
1 + 2에 970 evo  m.2 결과는 부팅은 됩니다. 단.간혹 가다 하드 인식을 못합니다. 매우 불안정합니다.
결론 SATA SSD부팅 + 실 OS는 M.2 로 작동 이렇게 쓰고 있습니다.

NVMe 지원 유무 확인하는 가장 확실한 방법은 업데이트 파일에서 추출하거나, dump해서 바이오스 자체를 추출후 열어보는겁니다

귀찮으면 아무 굴러다니는 USB에 부트로더 올린후 그걸로 부트해서 처리하세요

if you read in the forum there is a user who says that with the modified 3.94 he even booted a samsung 970 evo (which according to the author of the topic should not work as a boot disk) but that then with the update to 3.96 it did not work more. I quote: MarsMAK "I can confirm that z820 do boot from my Samsung 970EVO Plus 500GB m2 NVME SSD finely. However, after I have mistakenly upgraded my BIOS ver. to v3.96 (the latest one. Previous working version 3.94), it can no longer do so - from BIOS settings I cannot even find this SSD."
So someone who knows how to use UEFI Tools would be able to post a bios version 3.96 with nvme support, that is with this module NvmExpressDxe_4?
