요즘들어 2테라바이트가 넘는 디스크를 자주 사용하게 됩니다만..
2테라바이트이상의 하드 디스크 용량은 gpt 라는 파티션으로 잡아야 전체용량을 한꺼번에 다 쓸 수 있습니다.
그러나 기존의 리눅스용 fdisk 에서는 gpt 파티션을 지원하지 않습니다. 대신 parted라는 프로그램을 써야합니다. 하지만 parted는 fdisk와 사용 방법이 전혀 달라서 매우 쓰기가 불편합니다.
여기에 GPT 파티션이 지원되는 fdisk 프로그램을 소개합니다. 이름하여 gptfdisk.

사용방법은 기존의 fdisk와 거의 비슷하고 GPT로 사용하려면 파티션 ID를 0700 으로 잡으면 됩니다. 명령어는 gdisk 입니다. 그외에도 curses 라이브러리를 사용한 cgdisk 명령어가 있습니다.
